TRAVEL INSURANCE

Why should I get travel insurance?

There are many reasons why you will choose to purchase travel insurance. Not unlike auto insurance, home owners/renters insurance and life insurance, travel insurance protects you from the unplanned and the unforeseen.  Even when you travel with a great company like Anywhere But Here Travel, Inc., there is always the possibility of airline delays, lost luggage, medical emergencies, etc. We are only human and don’t have control over everything involved in travel so the choice to purchase travel insurance is made to protect you from losing money or even having to spend more money unexpectedly. 

Here are some examples of how travel insurance benefits you:

If on the way to the airport, there was a traffic jam due to an accident and it caused you to miss your flight, the airlines may have you purchase a completely new ticket at full face value.  Even worse, it may delay your vacation by a day if there aren’t any flights available.  Without travel insurance, you have to pay for a new ticket and potentially an overnight at a nearby airport hotel.  When you have travel insurance, these costs are covered and your out of pocket expense is greatly reduced.*
